My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nemo –This handsome fellow, enjoying the fresh breeze on a Florida morning, name is Nemo! He is generally good-natured and welcomes petting and attention. He also enjoys the company of the other cats in his house and, like most all kitties, he likes treats and wet food. Although he is not fond of snuggling in someone’s arms, he can be picked up and easily put in a carrier when necessary. Come meet Nemo and see for yourself what a charming fellow he is!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
