My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"REUBEN" is an adorable, 12-month-old, 30-35 lb. Border Collie mix male. Reuben is very smart, very sweet, obedient, a gentle player with other dogs, and a snuggle bug. He is attentive and eager to please, and he absolutely LOVES women! Reuben can be slow to warm with new people so a slower, patient approach is best for the first few days of interaction. He is a gentle, sensitive soul, so a calm, quiet home would be optimal (children above the age of 10 yrs. old). Reuben loves the company of other dogs, so a resident canine playmate of equal or slightly larger is a bonus!
Reuben is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed, on monthly heart-worm preventative, crate-trained, house-trained and microchipped. This rescue does not do its own 'shots' ... all medical care is done by a licensed, certified Veterinarian or done under their direct supervision (ex., monthly heartworm treatments &/or deworming). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
