My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HISTORY: Frisko was an owner surrender to the rescue in OCTOBER 2020. Frisko was born in early 2015 and he is about 70 lbs. He is most likely a Siberian Husky and American Staffordshire Terrier mix with beautiful soft, medium length fur.

FOSTER UPDATE: Frisko is one of our better behaved, intelligent and obedient dogs, and is super loyal and cuddly to boot! He stays off furniture unless invited, knows many basic commands (sit, stay, come, etc.), doesn’t bark when his person is home, and doesn’t shed much at all.

He is friendly towards all people and greets any visitors at the door calmly. Even though he’s an adult dog, he has plenty of energy, and seems to do best when he can be taken on several walks or runs a day. He could easily hike 10 miles. Frisko will thrive with plenty of physical and mental stimulation.

Frisko is prey-driven towards small animals so he isn’t a good match to live with cats or small dogs. He has lived with large dogs and does well with leashed walks, just not off-leash areas or indoors. He is learning how to be left alone, but this is easily handled by being crate trained, which helps him to remain calmer than when left out.

Frisko is smart, super loyal, and cuddly. He will be a great addition to a family that’s experienced with larger dogs and interested into continueing training him.

Frisko would do well in a home with calm children 12 years of age and older. He would do best being the center of attention and the only child in the house hold.
