My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HISTORY: Tonka was rescued in early October 2021 in Eastern Washington along with his 3 siblings and their mother. They were found in a corn field eating seeds to survive.

FOSTER UPDATE: Tonka has been in our care since he was 7 months old. He is now 1. We have put the time, resources, and training to help shy Tonka come around. At first it was a slow, patient, loving, caring process but he has excelled. He is a happy, playful, energetic, pup and has acclimated to new environments, people, and dogs. He is still shy, but with the trust we’ve built he loves belly rubs, petting, playing with toys, going to new places for walks, dog parks and the beach. He is getting braver and more confident by the day. He gets along with other dogs and would benefit greatly if he had a house playmate. Huskies do require a lot of exercise.

Tonka is crate trained, potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, likes the car, gets along with all dogs. This little guy will need someone who is understanding of shy dogs as it does take time for them to trust and acclimate to a new environment.

DOG ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: All basic vaccines including rabies, flea/tick treatment, spay/neuter and microchip!
