**Meet Mercury: The Playful and Loving 3-Year-Old Red Pit Bull**
Hello there, I`m Mercury, a vibrant 3-year-old red Pit Bull bursting with energy, affection, and a zest for life! I`m all about playtime, companionship, and savoring the finer things in life, especially treats!
I`m known for my playful nature—I absolutely adore wrestling and romping around with other dogs. There`s nothing quite like a good play session to get my tail wagging and my spirits soaring. I thrive on social interaction and enjoy making new furry friends wherever I go.
Now, about my journey so far – I`ve had a rough start to life, but I`m more than ready to leave kennel life behind and find my forever family. I long for a loving home where I can shower my humans with affection and receive lots of love and attention in return.
Speaking of affection, food is another one of my passions! I have a hearty appetite and I absolutely love my meals and treats. Treat time is the highlight of my day, and I`ll do just about anything for a tasty snack.
If you`re looking for a loyal companion who`s ready to bring endless joy, laughter, and love into your home, look no further than me, Mercury the red Pit Bull. Let`s make each day brighter together and create a bond that lasts a lifetime.

More about this shelter
Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.
We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.
We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.
At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
