My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pettigrew is a super fun, happy, friendly, one year old bundle of joy! He weighs in at 55 lbs. and is a Husky/Shepherd mix.
His joyful energy just makes you smile...he is so fun to be around and play with!!
This charming young boy is a lover of all things, people, other dogs, food and playing ball. He connects quickly with new friends and has many kisses to give.

Besides being so stunningly handsome he is also gentle and sweet. Pettigrew has a lovely calm temperament but he also loves a good run across the yard to catch the tennis ball and is happy to do a few zoomies for your entertainment! After a good run he likes to settle at your side, snuggle and happily roll around in the grass.

He is a great hiking companion but also happy with a neighborhood walk. He is non reactive to other dogs on leash. Pettigrew has not had much training but is really smart and catching on quickly to nice leash manners and basic commands. Pettigrew rides well in the car and does not bark much.

Pettigrew was rescued from a high kill shelter where he was at risk of being euthanized for space. He came in, and was kenneled with, a friend who was adopted leaving him behind. We rescued him in the nick of time. We are so glad this precious boy was saved. He will make a wonderful family companion.

Pettigrew's ideal home would be one with a family that has time to do training and teach him about the world as he is still a pup. He would love another dog as sweet as he is. Probably no cats. Pettigrew would be ok with older children. He definitely would love a nice yard where he can run and play with his friends and chase the ball.

Pettigrew is neutered, UTD with shots, microchipped and ready for a home.
