Guess what...it's MY time to be adopted and find my forever home. And man oh man has that road been a long one traveled. I am the Mommy to those 7 adorable babies on the front page. And making sure my babies were healthy and loved has left me t-i-r-e-d and needing some one on one attention of my own. After a few health concerns while I was pregnant and nursing my pups rescue and the nice vets that helped take care of me decided I should wean my puppies a tad early, mostly because I wasn't making enough milk for them and my own health was important too. I have been away from my babies for 4-5 weeks now and I have to tell you I am feeling MUCH better & have a clean bill of health!! And Mom says it's now time to find me my very own FOREVER home. I have discovered soo many wonderful things about living the good life inside a home. They have these things called "couches"...I swear they are heaven on earth, and yes I am a smart dog and will lay on the "dog pillows" too if you would prefer. Oh oh oh and those things that mom lays out for me called toys LOVE EM...especially the ones with the squeakers in them. Mom says I have to tell everyone that in any home I go to they must provide me with some great toys, as I have accidently chewed up some of Mom's favorite things...but can you blame me I get to be me and learn all about new things. But I can get to rip roaring through the house pretty good with my Basset brothers and sisters here....I would love to go to a home with other dogs to play with as I am quite the social butterfly. I am always right in the middle of things, like any great Basset should be "let my nose lead the way" is my motto! Because I was found running at large in the first place and as I said above I am a hound and let me nose lead the way rescue is kindly requesting I go to a forever home with a secure fenced in area. I am house trained through the use of a dog door, if I find a home with out a dog door, please be a little patient with me as I learn your routine, I am a smart girl and will get it pretty fast! I am a little leery of meeting new people, if someone comes up to me a little too fast it scares the beegezees out of me. But if they come very calmly and let me get the first sniff in I am just fine and good to go with giving that person all the love I can! Okay now onto my "quirks"...since I have had such a rough start in life all my "moms" have been feeding me canned food mixed in with my kibble, they say it's a way for me to put some weight on...but now I am a one bonified DIVA and really like my food with a bit of wet canned food mixed in! I am always going to be a small framed girl, and at my "ideal" weight most likely won't be over 45 lbs. I am UTD on all vaccinations, HW tested negative and on preventative and altered. If you would like to learn more about me please ask any questions and Mom will tell you just how sweet I am! Please contact Jeanne at
