My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meadow is a beautiful one year old female Australian Shepherd with a full tail. Meadow is in search of her furever home. She is super smart, sweet and willing to learn. She loves to romp and play with other dogs and doesn't mind cats.

Meadow will need an active family with knowledge of the breed, to keep her busy and train with her. We are not recommending a home with kids under 10 years of age because of her herding instinct. She will need a home with it's own fenced in yard so that she can romp and play and expend that energy in a safe environment. A home with another dog companion similar in age and activity is preferred.

We believe Meadow was raised as a kennel dog (crated alot) and did not have much time outside of the crate to learn to go potty when she needs to. Since she is young, she thinks outside time is for playing! She is learning but still has accidents in her crate so we feel she needs someone who is home alot and can continue to work with her.

She adores attention from women but is terrified of men and will run away and hide from them. Since she was picked up by animal control as a stray, we know very little about her past and why she is like this. Meadow needs someone to shower her with lots of love, patience and socialization especially with men.

Meadow is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention, and microchipped. She weighs about 34lbs.
