Well, it's been quite a ride!! My name is Miss Freya and I am ~2 yrs old, weigh in at a svelte 28 lbs and as you can clearly see by my pictures, I am quite the photogenic young lady! My journey to this point began when I found myself being picked up by the local dog pound where they took great care of me, posted pictures of me on their social media in the hopes that my owners would come for me. Based on my charming personality and stunning looks, there was no doubt I would be claimed...they were wrong :( Luckily the humane society stepped in to help out and I am now in a warm and loving foster home. It was quickly discovered that I was suffering from Heartworm because my LOSER...oops, I mean LAST owners must have found it a nuisance to give me heartworm prevention! So, what would have only cost ~$20 a month to prevent, is now costing over $600 to cure. Not to mention the pain I went thru with the arsenic injections to kill all the worms, ugh!!! Well, I am happy to say that I am on the mend and am now looking forward to finding my new (and improved) family!! FINALLY, someone that is able to appreciate my intelligence....you know how smart us German Shepherds are!! As far as the other breed mix?? Well, it's a true mystery!! But I sure got my GSD smarts...I already know how to sit, speak, and stay. I have so much more to learn and am eager to show off my talents! I love all people (any age) and am good with other dogs as well. I also walk great on a leash. My potty habits are still a work in progress but with patience and consistency I am sure it won't take us long to work thru it. I love car rides and am always up for an adventure! I am crate trained and have no issue hanging out in there when foster Mom heads to bed at night. I would do great in a home that will be able to provide me with the stimulation that I deserve in order to allow my true potential to show thru! So, to recap: I AM DA' BOMB!!!!!!!! lol I also have a great sense of humor. Take a few minutes to complete an application if you think we would complement each other!! love, freya xoxoxo
