Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Ozzy is an approximately 4 year old, Rottweiler mix. He is a handsome, regal looking young fella, full of playful energy. He overcame parvo like a champ when he was just a teensie puppy. His handsome, no-nonsense look may fool you into believing he is a guy who only likes to chill but he is all play! And he especially loves to collect rocks! His absolute favorite activity is swimming! He just loves water! Ozzy is a bit picky about who his dog pals will be but he loves people! He is the perfect sidekick to any of your adventures! He’d do great as an only dog and with older children.
All current AND previous pets (cats and dogs) MUST be up to date on vaccines and be spayed/neutered.
Please check with your landlord, if you rent, for breed and weight restrictions before applying.
We do not allow visitors unless you are an approved adopter.
If you'd like to know more about Ozzy, please let us know what about him you'd like to know so we can help you more efficiently.
If you'd like to adopt, or foster Ozzy, please fill out the applicable form.

More about this rescue
It all began late one evening when Meredith, founder of LCAR, watched John, co-founder, pull into the driveway with an unexpected passenger. There she sat in the front seat, as tall as she could possibly get, so she could look out over the dashboard. It was love at first sight. That’s when Roxy went home with Meredith and John, becoming the first of many, many rescued dogs, cats, and horses that were yet to find their way home to the ranch.
Lucky arrived soon after. She and Roxy were thick as thieves from day one and roamed the ranch as if they owned the place. Well, they did actually own the place!
Several dogs have shown up on the property since then, appearing as if out of thin air. They must have heard of the ranch being the place to be if you had no place left to go.
