My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RIP Sweet Girl, so sad you we had to say goodbye to you.

Noel is a Haven-Special Needs Dog with Kidney disease. She will live at the rescue for however long she has left and your donations to her care will help us with vet costs. Please consider sending in a donation. Any amount will be greatly appreciated as the costs to care for her include a special vet food, sub q treatments every other day, heartworm pills and flea and tick protection. You can send in a donation to CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or PayPal to larrydonnacarp@aol.com.

Meet Noel, a senior special need, 12-year-old, black Cocker Spaniel Girl with a bit of mix in her. She came to rescue with another cocker girl from an owner that had 5 dogs and couldn't keep all of them after her husband died. Both girls had very little vet care. Their health needs took us time, and it was costly. The other dog got adopted but then we learned this sweet girl has kidney disease. In the beginning we did try to get her a home but there was little interest in adopting a dog with health issues and meantime the disease has gotten worse.

Noel is a very sweet senior. She is spayed, micro-chipped and weighs about 19 pounds. She came to us with ear infections, a broken tooth, she needed a dental cleaning, plus some teeth removed. Unfortunately, her mouth issues were pretty bad. Her vet care has all been taken care of and we tried to get her a home until she was diagnosed with kidney disease. She also has moderate cataracts. She is on a vet prescription kidney diet, and we have been doing fluid treatments to help her kidney issues. She had several growths on her underside that were questionable and possibly needed to be taken off. Vet removed the biggest one and the smaller ones will just be monitored.

She is crate trained and a friendly girl. She would have been a nice companion for someone to love but when she got diagnosed with kidney disease, no one was interested in taking on that responsibility and now the disease has progressed. We will take care of her as a haven dog for however long she lives. Please consider donating to her care as each month is costly and we also have other dogs that are here too. Please donate to PayPal at larrydonnacarp@aol.com or send in your donation to CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Thank you for your kindness, Noel will appreciate it that we have the funds to give her the care she needs.
