Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Fred. He is estimated to be 11 years old and was found as a stray. He weighs 36lbs and has a medium-length hair coat. Fred's foster family just rave about what a nice dog her is. He is gentle and quiet and good with their other dogs. The vets have said his weight is ideal as we ensure his food is measured out twice daily. Fred takes his treats very nicely from your hand and will sit for treats. He rides well in the vehicle and really enjoys car rides. He does have a prey drive, typical of his breed, so must always be on a lead when not in a fully fenced area. Fred is housebroken and doesn't mind the snow at all. He sleeps on a doggie bed at night but we are pretty sure he would be game for joining his new family in their bed. We do not believe that Fred is 11 years old. Anyone that has met him does not believe he is older than 8. His eyes are very clear and his haircoat looks great. He has a bit of a sensitive stomach so no grain-free food for this fellow. He is currently on Performatrin Chicken and Rice. Fred does well with all the dogs he has met, regardless of size. He likes to chew on bully sticks loves to cuddle in blankets. He will bark when someone comes to the door. He enjoys people and being around children that are not too rowdy. He will wag his tail when you talk to him and loves getting kisses. The ideal home for Fred would be a quiet one, another resident companion dog to keep him company when his family is out. Fred is neutered, heartworm tested negative, up to date with vaccines, and dewormed. A fully fenced yard, another socialized resident companion dog for him, and a Veterinarian History of Compliance are mandatory to apply for our Fred.
