Five year old Berlioz is looking for his next-forever home because he is not getting along with his canine housemate (see below) and there is a baby on the way.

About his interaction with his canine housemate and the reason for his surrender:
"Displaced aggression towards dog, we have had full vet work-ups including blood panel done & he is physically fine. Consulted with feline behaviorist over the past 2 years. He is currently on a daily behavioral modification medication. Goes after dog due to foreign smells/noises & becomes fearful, every 2-3 months it happens typically. We have a baby on the way & Berli needs a less stressful household where he can be the only pet."

| "Berlioz is in very good health! Just had a full blood panel and vet work up this past September. A few years ago he suffered from some kidney problems that were remedied with medication - we think he got into a chemical of some sort. It's not on-going & he's been fine ever since. We have all of his vet records for his entire life." |

| "The ideal family situation would be Berlioz as the ONLY pet and no small children. An older adult home would be preferred. He really is a cool, talkative guy that is very sweet towards people and he likes to be part of the family. He's great for the vet, allows his nails to be clipped, loves to be brushed. Pretty playful and loves his bunny on a stick! This is extremely heartbreaking for us, we've had him since he was a baby. But we need to do what's best for him! He also has references - all his "cat sitters" think he's the sweetest boy." |
