02-10-2022: on 2-7, Janet sent me another text of a dog that she found on the side of the road about 2 miles from her home. Coco as she named him- appears to be a Labrador mix and apparently, he had been wandering for a few weeks as told by some neighbors. So, he was dumped by someone -- another Mississippi Mutt in need. He's so sweet, very friendly and cat safe. While he has some greying around his muzzle, his teeth are in great shape. The vet guessed him to be 3-4 years old. He is 57lbs. Thankfully he is heartworm negative, but he did have a nasty ear infection that is being treated.


We've placed so many of Janet's strays in the Chicago area and we are hopeful we can line up a new forever home for Coco too!
