My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Astro is 5.5 years old; and we adopted him in Honolulu. He loves people and loves to play. When he is at home, he also has his moments where he just likes to chill by himself. He is a sweetheart and likes to cuddle. Because he loves to play so much, his potential owner(s) should keep him active, play with him, and get him out of the house fairly often. We notice that he thrives when he is getting lots of interaction from people.
Astro has been living with one other dog, and they get along well. If he is going to be around a new dog, the best approach is to make the introduction over time, as he does not take well to new dogs initially. While he can be around other dogs in the home, it is up to the new owner’s judgement. We have noticed that he gets territorial over specific toys and does not always want to share them with our other dog. He is very smart, and would benefit from lots of one-on-one training time, since he picks up on commands quickly. Consistency is key with Astro!
