Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Todd is a 16 week old male Black Mouth Cur mix. He weighs approximately 28 lbs. Update from his foster - Todd is playful, affectionate and submissive. He corrects easily. He will need an adopter that will help build his confidence not coddle him and/or a balanced fur sibling that will help him also with his confidence. Todd sits. Currently we are working on house training. He will let you know when he needs to go to the bathroom. Todd sleeps all night in his crate and on and off during the day. Real quiet in the crate. Todd takes a little bit to get used to you but when he does he is a love bug. He has not barked to alert us someone is here for a bit now. His confidence is growing.
He will need time to settle in and get used to the noises of the house. Suggest he goes to a home, not apartment, because he will alert bark when he hears new noises. He likes to wrestle with his chew bone. He is VERY food and treat motivated which helps with training. Likes the snow when it's a little warmer.
Moderate energy as well. Needs reminders sometimes to take treats easy. Best fit with kids 12 and up or dog savvy kids if younger. Walks on leash pretty well for a puppy with little experience. As for cats he barked and growled at her first but she lays right there so she doesn't feel threatened by him. He is curious and afraid of her. Could use a balanced dog buddy - has been good with a much smaller other foster puppy, he let her snuggle with him. Calm and relaxed in the car.
