Calling all Big Dog Fans! This big, boisterous, bouncy boy is aptly named, Goofy! He is a lab mixed with hound (you can see the hound in his eyes and expressions) and he is one tall drink of water.

This young fellow likes people, dogs and playing ball and isn't afraid to show it. His exuberance could use some tempering, as he is a very young dog who has not had a lot of training (yet) so he is learning manners probably for the first time in his life. If you are a big dog person, you understand what this means already--when a toy poodle jumps on you or pulls on a leash, that's one thing...

Goofy came to us via Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka, Kansas. He had been found wandering as a stray in a very rural area. Helping Hands recognized his potential as a working dog right away and contacted us. We snapped him up and brought him to our campus in California, but alas, his toy drive was a little less intense than what we need for the Urban Search and Rescue training that we do.

All that means is, lucky you! Goofy has the potential to be a wonderful partner. Active, energetic, funny, and playful and wrapped in a show-stopping handsome package to boot.
