In Salisbury
Mocha is a 5 yr old, 55lb red tri aussie mix. She has a beautiful, thick coat and tail and gorgeous hazel eyes. She is a sweet, shy girl, but don't let her shyness fool you! She just takes a little time to warm up, but once she does, she is a doll. She is a total sweetheart at her core. We don't know much of her past, but we know her future is bright!
She came to ASF as a shelter stray and was very shutdown while at the shelter. She was terrified when she first came into foster. Over the past 2 months, her personality has really come to light. She is very nervous around new people, but once you gain her trust she will climb right into your lap, and heart. She does bark at strangers until she warms up. Mocha would do best with a doggie sibling to play with. She is also good with cats. She is a little anxious around my toddlers and young children, though has never shown any aggression towards anyone. Older, dog savvy children will be best. Mocha is perfect on a leash, and stays right beside you. She does well at times with recall, but still needs practice. Mocha definitely has it in her to be an escape artist, so a fenced yard would be best. She is a well mannered girl and would make a great companion. She doesn't have to be in a super active household as she is content just being near her person. Mocha adores her belly being rubbed, and will roll over on her back for pets!
She does have a little bit of separation anxiety and is best crated when left alone. She will thrive in a home where her person is with her most of the time. She is very much a one person dog and bonds strongly. Mocha is healthy, spayed and up to date on all her shots. Who is ready to meet and fall in love with marvelous Mocha?
