Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Leroy!!
Leroy came to us all the way from Greenville South Carolina where he was scheduled to be euthanized due to the shelter not having the funding or resources to take care of a special needs kitten.
Leroy is just a typical, playful kitten. He has the loudest purr and loves being cuddled, but nothing holds him back, he gets the zoomies and can't be stopped. He is a very energetic and outgoing little guy. Just looking at him you would not realize he is a special needs little boy. He is growing just as he should but he does have to have a special diet. He will more than likely be on this special diet for his entire life. We are still learning about his condition and how it will affect him later in life.
If you would like more info on Leroy, please send us a message.
Update 3/16/22: Leroy has been diagnosed with Megaesophagus (info can be found here briefly explaining the condition: https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/digestive/c_ct_megaesophagus). He also has an injury to his eye that will be reassessed at his neuter appointment. (we originally were told he had a ruptured eye that needed to be removed, but our vet has determined he can see out of his eye and it isn't painful)
Update 3/30/22: Leroy is keeping his eye, it is developing scar tissue and causing him no pain. He can now eat out of a normal bowl but still must remain on a wet food diet. He is gaining weight as he should and is a perfectly healthy kitten. He was neutered and ready to find his forever home!
