Dapper, elegant hound!

UPDATE 1/29/22: Max makes you think of southern hospitality--always welcoming and full of charm. His white and intensely red coat is bound to attract attention wherever he goes. He is as handsome as a long, lean canine can get. And those warm hound eyes will capture your heart as soon as they set upon you.

Max joined Almost Home after he lost his own home last November. He showed us good manners right from the start—respectful when meeting our cats, tidy about his room, amiable to all, and compliant with what we asked of him. His energy level ranges from active hiker to chilled out relaxer, and he is not usually a foolish barker, but may bark for attention when he is feeling lonely.

Max stands alert to learn new tasks and is ready for fun and games, now that he has been fully vetted. He appears to be a Walker and Blue Tick Hound mix that is 3 years old and weighs 59 pounds.

Max is looking for someone who will enjoy being with a dog who can't wait to be someone's partner. He will show you respect, help soothe your soul, play games with you, and show you loyal ty.
