Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barks and Meows Rescues introduces Lori. She is a lab mix and is one of Mommy Cali's babies. Lori currently weighs 47bs. She had medium-length fur and very long legs. Mommy Cali weighs 57Lbs and one of her siblings already weighs that much at 6 months. We believe Lori will reach at least 60lbs when fully grown. Lori was adopted out at 8 weeks and sadly returned when her adopters realized she was just too much puppy for them as she was very mouthy. Lori returned to Barks and Meows Rescue and was as good as gold from Day 1. She had multiple dogs to play with which is what she was lacking in her adoptive home. This breed mix yearns to play with other dogs and can play hard so it is important her next home has another playful dog residing there. Lori never mouths her foster family. She gets her mouthing exercises released while playing with other dogs which is typical of high-energy dogs. She is very sweet and loving and loves all people and all dogs. She sits and comes on command. Lori is fed a large breed puppy formula 3 times a day due to the amount of exercise she gets. Lori is crate trained but uses it in her foster home for feeding purposes. This gal is very smart and learns new things and routines quickly. She loves playing outside and sleeps well during the night on the furniture or a doggie bed. Her disposition is second to none. Bully sticks have been wonderful in helping her in her chewing stage. Lori has a beautiful shiny coat. She was very good with her previous adopter's grandchildren who were over 6. Lori also rides well in a vehicle. Lori will need to work on walking on her leash and body harness. The ideal home for Lori is one where the family is active with their dogs outdoors. This type of activity is important for a high-energy mix. Obedience classes are important for stimulating her mind as an intelligent dog can get into trouble if not kept busy. We know she will excel in her obedience classes Another very playful dog her size or larger is vital. She is a dog that is pack-oriented and due to her lovely nature, it's wonderful to see her engaging so well with other dogs. Lori is spayed, up to date with vaccines, was on heartworm flea/tick prevention during the season, and is dewormed. She is also microchipped. A fully fenced yard, with fencing a minimum height of 5 feet, another very playful socialized dog, and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory to apply for our Lori.
