My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buffy is the sweetest little girl.
She and her brother Angel are both very shy.
She will come for head rubs...but only when she decides.

She has been waiting patiently for her forever home.

She is part of a bonded pair.
She must be adopted in a home with her brother Angel.
The adoption fee listed is for the two of them together.

Please note:
We adopt our kittens in pairs unless there is already an existing cat in the home.

We are a very small rescue.
We are a 100% volunteer rescue.
We do not have any paid staff.

We do require a background check.
We verify references before a meet and greet/ at-home visit is ever approved.

Due to our in-home visit requirements we are only adopting within a set radius near our location in the city of Chicago, IL.

We will ONLY consider applicants who have filled out our emailed application in full and abide by our rescue protocol.

We will not arrange any meet and greets unless all references have been checked and applicants have been approved.

We are not accepting or offering ANY phone inquiries.

Their adoption process

Submit Application

We will email an application.

2.
Approve Application

We take this time to verify address, call references, etc.

3.
Interview

We will only contact potential adopters if they have passed our initial screen check.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will make arrangements for potential adopter to meet the pet.

5.
Home Check

We will bring the pet to your home to observe interactions and any issues.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

7.
Pay Fee

Steps 5, 6, and 7 are done in the potential Adopter's home. If adoption is approved and finalized, pet will remain with the Adopter.

We are strong believers that every animal deserves a good home, but we also believe that not every animal is right for every home.
We take the time to learn about an animal's behavior and match it with the lifestyle of potential adopters. Adopters must fill out our adoption application, provide verifiable vet references, and agree to a screening and an at-home visit.
