My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I go by Rozzi May but my close friends affectionately call me Roz. Before finding my way to the shelter, my life was filled with darkness and fear. It's difficult to talk about the specifics, but one traumatic event from my past leaves a visible reminder in the form of a nasty scar from being shot as a young pup. Following that ordeal, I found myself in and out of the animal control system, leading to encounters with less than kind individuals who attempted to train me for fighting.

Thankfully, my journey took a turn for the better when I was rescued and brought to the shelter. Here, I was showered with love, food, and care, helping me heal physically and emotionally. Now, I have a newfound appreciation for life and a heart full of love for every person and furry friend I come across, particularly enjoying the company of male dogs and a select few female companions.

While I may have overcome the challenges of my past, I still struggle with allergies that require special food and medication to keep my skin from becoming itchy. Despite this ongoing battle, I remain grateful for the second chance at life that the shelter has given me, allowing me to thrive and spread joy wherever I go.

Rozzi May has already been spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, so you can rest assured that she is healthy and ready to join your family. At 59lbs, she is a big girl with an even bigger heart. She is sweet, loving, and eager to make new friends. If you already have other dogs at home, feel free to bring them along to see how they interact with each other.

Stop by our shelter today to meet Rozzi May and see if she is the perfect match for your family. Give her a chance to show you just how wonderful she can be as a loyal and loving companion. Adopting a dog is a life-changing experience, and we believe that Rozzi May could bring so much joy and happiness into your home.
