Here's what the humans have to say about me:
* Bridger will do best with an adopter who has time to spend with him at home and who does not expect him to be crated 40+ hours per week. He does vocalize in the crate so it's best he is not placed in an apartment.
Bridger is a happy, handsome boy who is learning about living in a home and all the great things modern life has to offer. Bridger is 7 months old, 38lbs and he was rescued off a reservation in Idaho, so living in a home is new to him.
Bridger loves other dogs and is fostered with 3 dogs. Cats unknown but we could test him with yours if needed. He is also good with kids, although he is a puppy so be may be a little energetic for tiny kids. He has a soft mouth and takes treats gently. Bridger has thick, wooly fur so we are not entirely certain of his breed mix: Border Collie? Akita? German Shepherd? Husky? It's hard to say but he is stunning and oh so soft like a teddy bear.
Bridger is working hard on his potty training and is doing better and better as his first week in foster has progressed. He is also learning to walk on leash, ride in the car and crate training. He tends to cry in the crate for now, and prefers to sleep near his foster family in their room at night.
Bridger loves toys and food puzzles. He will greatly benefit from an adopter who is willing to engage with him in training and continue to polish up his skills. He is a puppy still and has puppy tendencies like chewing at times, so please apply knowing you are applying for a puppy who is learning. Bridger responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement training and treats.
Bridger has been neutered, microchipped (it's free to register) vaccinated, dewormed, is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and comes with a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Portland or Oregon City.
