Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brutus is a 4 year old Jack Russell terrier, with a lot of love to give! He has been in 2 different homes plus foster care in the past year, so we want to make sure his last stop is forever.
Brutus is very active and needs a ton of exercise, both physical and mental. He loves car rides, chewing bones, and playing with toys. He walks well on the leash although can be reactive when passing other dogs. He is crate trained and has been successful in a baby gated area.
Brutus loves to be near people but likes his personal space. A home with children would not be a good fit. He’s not big into cuddling although he appreciates getting lots of pets.
Our ideal home for Brutus spends a lot of time at home and is very patient.
Although we do NOT require a fenced in yard, we DO require that he gets appropriate physical exercise. Also, dogs should never be left for more than 4-5 hours without a break, so if you work full time, you’ll need to arrange for a dog walker or come home for lunch.
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to test our dogs with other animals. We would like Brutus to be the only pet.
Breed experience preferred but not required. If you feel that your family would be an exception to our general requirements, please feel free to still apply.
We only adopt out within an hour of Albany NY or Norwalk CT.
Adoption process:
1. Apply
2. Zoom interview
3. Meet and greet
4. Home visit (2nd meet and greet)
