My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET COCOA! This beautiful cuddly teddy bear of a dog is looking for her forever home! She is about 5 years old (best guess), and currently weighs about 77 pounds. She should weigh about 60 at her best weight. We believe her to be an aussie lab mix (just look at that cute blue peeper).
Cocoa is a sweet, friendly, calm wonderful dog. She's crate-trained and house broken, and can use a doggy door. She is just about a perfect dog! She doesn't jump up on people, and she's not destructive.
She was timid when she first arrived, but has almost gotten over that completely except when meeting new people - it does take her a little while to warm up, but then she is super sweet and cuddly. Besides getting her to a normal weight, she has two minor issues to be aware of. If you reach for her too quickly, she'll run ('cause she's scared), and she cannot live in a home without another dog. She was raised with a pack, and if she's all alone (and let's face it, you have to leave your house sometimes!) she gets very worried. So, you must have another dog. And she is great with all the dogs she meets.
So, the right family for her will be committed to exercise and diet (so she continues to feel better), have another dog, and lots of love to give. That's not too much to ask! If Cocoa would be the right fit for you family, please contact us, or apply at scroungydogs.com.
