Oscar's story:
Oscar was captured in a humane trap in an abandoned car lot. He looked like he had been having a tough time, as he had an infected wound on the side of his face, was full of worms, fleas and ticks. Oscar spent about a month in our isolation unit, until he was healthy enough to join the other cats in one of our community cat rooms.
It is apparent from his shyness, that Oscar has not had much consistent socialization with humans; he like to be held and petted, but will not approach you and hides most of the time. We are hoping in a home setting, he will feel more at ease and come out of his shell more. We know he will get there with time, love and patience.
