Gabby is a 6-year-old, 10 pound female Maltese.
Adoption fee: $400.00
She is a very sweet, joyful and eager to please girl. She is also a very active girl who likes to be where the action is and, therefore, will need an owner who is equally as active, but not the hyper or nervous type of active. She does best with someone who has a very calm demeanor. She will require daily walks, lots of play time and stimulation! She loves toys and will fetch and chase one forever if given the chance. Gabby has some separation anxiety and will require a home where at least one person is home most of the time. She has never been in a crate and would most likely not do well in that kind of a situation. She is incredibly smart, is potty trained and knows all of the basic commands like sit, stay, down, no, wait and is always eager to learn more!
The ideal home for her is one where the owner is home the majority of the time. Also, Gabby does not like riding in the car and gets incredibly anxious the entire time. Her new owner(s) would need to be someone who is okay with not taking her along with them when running errands or just out for a drive, but only in the car for a grooming or vet appointment.
Believe it or not, even though she lives in Arizona, she doesn’t like the sun (even when it’s not hot outside) and would prefer to be sitting in the shade somewhere or riding in a stroller with the bonnet shading her (ha!).
She is great with men or women, but not children. She is good with most small dogs, but wary of large dogs. She does not require another dog in the home, but probably wouldn’t mind another calm small dog. She is not fond of cats, in fact she will chase them and bark at them, so no cats please! She is non-shedding (hypoallergenic) but requires daily brushing and is used to daily toothbrushing.
Gabby is an amazing girl who, yes, has a few “issues” but, honestly, who doesn’t?? You will see she is a sweet, loving, smart, fun, happy girl who just wants that perfect person who will understand and love her for the amazing girl she is!
