My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe is a very sweet girl! She is around 6 years old and 35 lbs. She loves to take walks and be outside. As much as she loves outside, she also loves to sleep! She loves to curl up on the couch or a bed, if you let her. She is also very motivated by food, especially meat. If you’re cooking something she really loves then she will do a hop on her hind legs that is adorable. Chloe is well behaved in the house and does not chew on anything and will even leave food alone. She is not a huge fan of the crate. Chloe is house trained if kept on a routine in order to avoid accidents.
Chloe can be very timid around men, as well as a new person. She has occasionally growled at certain men, but she has never showed any aggression. We think she may have been mistreated in her past so men that look similar to one that mistreated her make her nervous.
Chloe seems to love older kids, but real little ones do make her nervous with their unexpected movements. She usually will try to run away if she's nervous. Interestingly, thunderstorms and fireworks did not bother her in the slightest. Once she’s comfortable with you she loves getting belly rubs and playing peek a boo with a blanket. She will sit for treats, or when she sees the leash. She really is such a sweet and special girl who just needs the right patient family the love!

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
