Henry came into rescue with a companion who has since found a home. Both were severely underweight (Henry had lost 20 lbs in the 5 months prior to coming into rescue. Two of the pix below show him when we first got him). Both dogs had urine crusted on their bellies and their legs. Henry is a tall boy who loves standing up and giving hugs when he comes out of his crate. He walks fairly well on leash..doesn't drag you down the street but will pull on occasion. He is eager to please and loves treats, wonderful traits for training. When he was in another foster home briefly, we found out that he is not destructive outside the crate, even when left alone. In this foster home, he is not aggressive to the resident dogs who cluster around his crate. He is interested in kitties, but not in a predatory way. He can be called off anything he is doing with a word. When walking he is okay with strangers...really not interested. When he first came here, he would bark aggressively at my husband, but only while he was in the crate. Once free, he was fine with him. He LOVES zooming around the yard, almost as if he is yelling 'Freedom'. see our facbook page to watch Henry in the snow.Stay tuned for more info as we get to know him better.
