PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone. NORA is in SALEM, Ohio. SHE is fully vetted including spay/rabies/Bordetella/parvo distemper vaccine/worming/heartworm lyme test/heartworm-flea prevent while in rescue. We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.
FULLY VETTED ADOPTION FEE is: $125
** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere.
FINALLY, it's my turn!!! I have been waiting patiently to be able to tell you about myself. This waiting has included (but is not limited to) me having my baby making junk removed (spayed), having multiple needles (vaccines) poked at me, having yucky things (meds) forced upon me and being kept in prison (a kennel)!!! I am now officially able to go to a home, yippee!! I, along with my pals (12 of us total) were being kept in "not so nice" accommodations until we were all rescued!! I can begin by telling you that I will need some basic manner training (not my idea, but the girls here seem to think so!) which should include leash manners, no jumping, and potty training. On the upside, I am great with kids over the age of 10....not because I am mean to younger ones but due to my exuberance for life, I may knock them over and hurt them. I have already learned how to "sit" and "give paw" as long as the right treat is forthcoming! I am also friendly with other dogs!! I LOVE to play with the other dogs and have proven myself to be a "powerhouse" of a player, so no wimpy canine boys for me!! HOWEVER, i guess you can say I am a bit "sexist" because I am way better with male dogs than female ones. So, if you have female canine you should check out some of the other dogs in need of homes because I take pleasure in being the only "Bombshell" canine in the house! I have co-existed with the feline persuasion successfully, but we had all been together for a while. So, not so sure how I would fair with a new cat sibling,,,,I may want to chase them just for the fun of it! I like car rides as well. If you know anything about my breed, then you are aware of how strong we are!! So, no wimpy folks need apply. You should also know that us pitties are people pleasers, learn fast and require a leader that is strong willed yet soft hearted!! If you meet all the criteria and are willing to give us a shot then take some time to complete an application!!! love, nora xoxoxo
