My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Thumper and you can call me Thumper! I’m a two-year old French Lop bunny. I’m neutered, vaccinated and ready to find my forever home. I’m extremely food-motivated and will do almost anything for my favorite foods, especially leafy greens, timothy hay and the occasional blueberry or banana slice.

While I'm on the topic of rabbits, I'd like to mention my body is more fragile than that of a dog or cat, so I would be best suited for a home with adults. Teens are ok too, as long as they understand how to handle me safely. (If you've never held a bunny before, that's ok! My boss can talk you through it!) While I'm laying out my preferences, I don't really fancy being held since I am a prey animal -- but I enjoy it tremendously when humans join me on the floor to play with me and pet me. So much, you might even see me do zoomies and binkies when my heart fills with joy!

My love can easily be earned with bites of blueberries and bananas as I am highly food motivated. I am also smart enough to get my blueberries out of a foraging toy; that makes me think too. Of course, I cannot have all the fruit I want because that might cause me to develop health issues. Don’t be stingy with the Timothy hay and fresh greens; I love that too. And of course, I always need fresh water.

And, not to brag, but I’m pretty neat. Seriously. I am trained to use a litter box. I might leave a coco puff here or there accidentally, but those are easy to clean. I’m spayed. And get this – I am also self-cleaning. That means you don't -- actually SHOULD NOT -- bathe me. But you can watch as I lick my paws and groom my face and ears. It's pretty adorable. My health is important to me. In addition to a healthy diet, it's important I see the vet, just like other companion animals. If you're considering adopting me, I need to go to a specially trained exotics vet.

I would love to get settled in a forever home sooner than later. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to this link and fill out the online application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFL/Rabbit
And last, but not least, my adoption fee is $50.
