Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Steeler was rescued from an abusive home. The husband beat both the dog and his wife. Steeler was abused for his whole 5 years of living there until I took him in. That was all he knew. He is now roughly 6 1/2 years old. Because of his past, he is a bit anxious around new men and takes his own time in trusting them. With women, he will be your best friend immediately, giving everyone doggy kisses. I’ve had him for roughly 7 months now, and since that time, he’s shown me that he has so much love to give. Always wanting to be near you for scratches, and is the biggest ball of energy. Steeler is active and happy. He Loves hikes, and listens best with a pinch collar. (He pulls when excited but responds to a simple check of the collar). Knows all his basic commands. ‘Shake’ is his favorite trick to show off for treats! Is always the happiest boy when you come home. Excited butt spins, endless kisses & hugs, cuddles, car rides, and wrestling are his favorite things to do. He’s the king of toys and bones. Will prance up to you like a deer when he shows you his favorite toys! He is okay with cats but just gets excited easily and doesn’t know his own strength. (i have 4 foster kittens living with me and he’s fallen in love with one of my little females). Not super fond of other dogs at first (especially on the leash) but i was told he’s been raised with 3 other dogs through his life and got along with them perfectly.
Helping him out of a terrible situation was the goal, and now we need help finding his next happy chapter.
If he sounds like a dog you can give your love and second chance to, reach out via our website adoption form: saveabowwow.com/rescue/adoption-form
We are helping the foster rehome this dog by listing and reviewing applications. Adopter will meet foster mom directly as this dog is not part of our rescue, merely a courtesy post.
This is a rescue dog; breed mixes are predictions
