Who loves movie night?! Jade does and she`s looking for a couch potato buddy. She`s also the hostess with the mostest - she loves having people over and is great at making sure everyone feels welcome!
Her foster friends say, `Jade is house trained and low key in the house. She is not destructive & can be left alone, and she enjoys cuddling but is not super pushy.
This girl loves to nap and loves to eat! AKA she is super easy to please. She also sleeps through the night like a gem and has to be woken up by her humans for breakfast.
Jade lived with a toddler for 2 weeks and was incredibly gentle.
Jade loves to sunbathe and chill in the backyard. She gets excited to zoom around when given the opportunity, but then reverts back to her calm, cuddly self in the house.
Jade’s only “difficult” trait, which I assume is the reason she has yet to be adopted, is that she does need to be in an only pet home. However, with a family with a yard and no other pets, she would be the easiest dog ever and best companion!`

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
