My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Despite their Supernatural namesakes these boys don't really do a whole lot of demon hunting. In fact they find most new things kind of, well, terrifying. We can't really blame them though considering they are not only two little guys out in a big world, but at just around 3 years old (as of 01/07/22) they have spent most of their lives in a safe bubble and having to learn how to be outside of that is a lot.

Sam and Dean may need some time to trust new people but once they feel comfortable they will be stuck to them like ectoplasm...or glue...whichever you prefer. Their absolute favorite thing is to be in someones lap or even their arms they aren't picky as long as they are getting affection. They will follow their person around until they stop moving or sit down, then as fast as their legs allow, they will jump up and try to climb into that persons lap. They believe that your personal bubble should include them.

They have been described as being a little needy and it will be important that their new family has understanding and patience in helping them learn that being underfoot is dangerous and climbing up or clawing someones legs isn't all that polite. Due to not only this behavior but their nervous nature in general we would not recommend them to a home with young kids. We also feel that they could pose a risk to anyone that isn't fully steady when on their feet. They also probably would not be great fits in apartment living as they do have some strong opinions about their loved ones leaving them. They seem to settle down ok eventually but at first they do have to sing the songs of their people, and even though Jensen Ackles may have played Dean on TV our version does not have quite the same talents when it comes to his singing. With all of this in mind, we think they would do best in a quiet relaxed home without a whole lot of hustle and bustle. We think adults would be best, especially if there is more then one so they can each have a person of their own, and maybe older children who would be understanding to who these boys are would be ok too.

Overall Sam and Dean have been pretty ok health wise. Dean does unfortunately have some early onset cataracts and may have some limits to his vision. Sam has a very minor cherry eye that does not seem to bother him. The one issue we did have with them were injuries to the edges of their ears which we worked with our vets to take care of. As of right now their ears are doing just fine but this could be something that could reoccur in the future.

At the end of the day these guys may need a bit of patience and understanding at first but once they know you are family, you are their everything. We think Dean Winchester put it best when he said "A wise man once told me, "Family don't end in blood." But it doesn't start there, either. Family cares about you, not what you can do for them. Family's there through the good, the bad-all of it. They got your back even when it hurts. That's family".

Our Sam and Dean couldn't agree more and they can't wait until they get to be a part of yours.
