CLAUS IS A 10 YO. ;7 LBS LOVABLE , FRIENDLY MALE
Our sweet, cuddly Claus has been dealt a tough life for 10 years. Passed around and left outside, nobody took care of him. We found him cowering in a rural shelter in Kansas where they sadly named him HOT MESS. It was the beginning of December when we spotted him and immediately pulled him and found transport to our foster home in Arkansas. We knew he had a cherry eye, that was fixable, and no issue, covered in fleas and badly matted, and he needed a good grooming, no issue. When we started grooming him we saw he had a hernia. Well, OK, fixable during his neuter, we did that too. What we didn't expect, but common in small breeds, was that I was diagnosed with a grade 2 of 6 heart murmur but the good new is that he is asymptomatic and there is no real reason to think it will change and no medications are needed. If it does worsens with age, there are new medicines that can prolong life and not expensive for a small dog.
In the meantime we are looking to find a home for Claus in the Rhode Island area area. He is a real sweet friendly lovable dog. Just the most perfect honey. If you can open your heart and want to give him a home please file an application.
MORE PICS TO FOLLOW SOON.
If you can provide a FABULOUS home please file our free application (see link above) and tell us why we should let you adopt our wonderful rescue.
Once we have reviewed your application and think it is a match we will notify you. Please understand that as these dogs are fostered we do get to know them and have a good idea of their forever home. We do NOT save applications, but you may put multiple names on one application. We do not choose by a first come first serve basis. So if the dog is still up on the site, consider the dog AVAILABLE. We do take down quickly when adopted. If you don't see any information you need to know, we probably don't have an answer....like cats...idk...
