My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Cameron and I'm looking for my furever home. I had an interesting start in life. My mommy was homeless and kept me and my 8 brothers and sisters alive and well until a nice couple found us and brought us in from the cold when we were about 5 weeks old. I've been in foster care for a few weeks and now I'm ready to find my own furever family.

I will have to have another dog in the house. I am very dependent on someone that will play with me. I do very little on my own.
My foster mom says that I “relentlessly like the other animals in the house”. I also defend myself like a boss. I hear “CAM” a lot. I don’t know my name but the sound makes me perk my ears and look at her.

When I came to my foster home, I was by far the most petite (still have petite features). I have now doubled my weight; I’m up to a whole 12.5#. Don’t let my weight fool you though because I carry things around the house that are much bigger than me. Ask the cat. I love to take her bed…sometimes with her in it.
As far as my looks go, I’m cute with a capital C. I have a wonky ear that randomly started staying on top of my head the other day. Foster mom says it’s the cutest.

I am also the connoisseur of all things…strings, wood, plants, dirt. Nothing is off limits. And I will find ALL OF IT. I will dig at the carpet until I find a treasure, if I think there is one to be had. My foster mom is constantly giving me toys/bones as a distraction. It works.
If I get my feelings hurt, I want my human. I want to be picked up and held. I don’t get scared often but if I do, a snuggle helps me. I think I have ADHD though. Once I’ve snuggled and gotten my confidence back, I will chew on your fingers and wiggle like a worm to get back to whatever I was doing before I got my 30 second snuggle.
I get car sick (badly). The vet recommended Dramamine in the future. I do fine while at the vet but car rides are just not my thing.
I think I will be a great trail dog someday. I am really interested in the outdoors. Foster mom has yucca plants in the yard and I LOOOVE to hide in them. I run everywhere. I like puddles, mud, leaves…all of it. The yard is really big here at my foster house, I’ve explored “all the inches”.
I can go up stairs fine but I still don’t have the confidence to go down. My foster house has four steps to go outside. My sisters can do them but I have to wait at the top for foster mom to pick me up. I put my feet around her neck when she sits down to pick me up.

Foster mom said my new name is Turd-burglar…I’ll let you figure that one out. I guess I could be the shoe shoplifter too because man oh man, do I love shoes. I don’t care if they weigh more than me either…I will take all of them.
I get cold outside. After pottying, if foster mom picks me up when it’s cold, I’m usually shivering. I don’t have the coat my sisters do. Maybe that means my new family will get me a girly pink coat to match my collar.
Foster mom notes:
Cameron is your curious one. She wants to explore all things. She wants all dogs and cats to be her friends; they are all up for grabs as “friends”. I don’t think she’s met a stranger. She will need another dog in the home without a doubt. Of the three people (family members) I’ve had in my house, she doesn’t seem to fear any of them.
If the adopter has small children, they’ll want to be aware, she doesn’t do well at letting go when she has fingers (never being mean, just being a puppy). She likes to chew all things and fingers are part of that. She doesn’t like to let go of whatever she has…
This little girl has a part of my heart. She is a little love bug (on her terms) that makes you just want to squeeze her.

If you think this little cutie is the perfect fit for your family, please fill out our application:
