My story

Meet Dixie, a precious 11 year old, 10 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Leander, TX. Only TX applicants will be considered.
Dixie has completely come out of her shell! What and amazing pup! Dixie is perfectly potty trained, listens well, loves to snuggle, and most of all, PLAY!. Dixie greets foster dad everyday with jumps of joy and then races around the house looking for her favorite toy to play. She enjoys wrestling with her stuffed doggie and playing tug of war. She will chase down any toy if thrown and especially loves to be chased around while holding a toy in her mouth. She has an amazing amount of energy and spunk for an 11 year old pup. The years of having bladder stones may have slowed her down, but she is sure making up for it now.
Dixie will do best in an active home. She loves going for walks and even enjoys a ride in the car. She was raised with children and would be ideal in a home with older children that would play with her. She is an absolute sweetheart that foster mom and dad say is so special. Personalities like Dixie's do not come around often. Foster mom and dad frequently say she is the best dog ever.
