8-21-2022: Tim has been waiting several months to find his new forever home. He is THE BEST DOG and his foster dad says if he didn't have 2 other Pointers-- he would be a keeper. Tim is also a start at doggie day care as he is so sweet and playful with other dogs. Hopefully we'll find the perfect new forever home soon.
1-22-2022: Tim aka Quick Draw McGraw IS THE BEST dog!! He has all the personality and characteristics we love in our field bred Pointers. He is so sweet, playful and fun. He adapted to indoor living and was so good in his cage and is doing well with house training. Best guess is he is maybe 3, although he could be younger. He is such a clever boy, is very food motivated and learned to come when called quickly. He needs a little work on counter cruising but he is really loving his quality cuddles on the couch with his new foster dad. I LOVE THIS DOG!!
1-17-2022: Tim and Faith are now in the Chicago area learning about indoor living and in Tim's case- learning about toys and feeling safe. We don't believe either dog has ever lived indoors so everything is new, but they are adjusting and enjoying being warm and being loved on. Both pups are also learning about cage and house training, and we are working on helping them gain more much needed weight. Tim is a HOOT-- tons of Pointer personality and playful especially with puppy Cinders. He comes when he is called and has learned how to go up and down stairs. He is a sweet special boy that is going to make the best pet and companion.
1-11-2022: Tim and Faith are beautiful Lemon and White American Field bred Pointers that were saved from an over-crowded shelter in Southern IL. We are told Tim is around 2 and Faith is 4. She looks like she's had a few litters. Pointers are just the best dogs and make wonderful family pets. They do need some exercise, but they will need safe fenced in yards- no exceptions. Both of these dogs lived in outdoor kennels so will need Foster or Foster to Adopt homes where they can learn cage and house training. Most Pointers figure out how to be couch potatoes and also about quality snuggle time quickly and prefer indoor living after some time. We are happy to start 2022 saving these sweet dogs.
