Cybele arrived as a stray, underweight and didn’t have much of an appetite. One of our dedicated staff members decided to take her into foster care after she was stressed from the shelter. She slowly began to decompress in the calmness and quiet of a home. She started to build an appetite and enjoyed long naps with her senior canine foster brother. While it took a bit for the dog in the home to want a feline sister, they started to share his dog bed. Slowly she was allowed on it, first just her head was allowed to rest on it, and then slowly her canine brother allowed her to rest on it at the same time. Regardless she had plenty of cat beds, couches, and cat trees she had for herself; what she wanted most was the companionship. She has since gained weight, and her diabetes is regulated; her foster mom is happy to say she is ready for her fairy tale ending, either by a rescue or a forever foster home. The foster home isn’t going to adopt her, so we want to give Cybele the best chance to find a forever foster and/or rescue placement. Our sweet senior girl is litter box trained, loves to hang out with her foster mom whether she is baking up some yummy treats in the kitchen, reading a book or just enjoying a spa day. This inquisitive feline even enjoyed watching her foster momma paint her nails with polish; her foster mom said she believes Cybele was impressed how neat she did her nails!!
Now that Cybele is happier with a good appetite; her foster said Cybele is full of personality; and ready for a forever home, foster home or rescue placement. Please consider this special girl!!
