Mr. Meowgi is a gorgeous (and slightly exotic looking) tabby who has had quite the transformation with us! When he first came to us back in 2021 as a kitten, he was quite spicy and did not enjoy human interaction. As a young adult, he was very shy-all it took was eye contact to send him running into hiding. But, after creating special bonds with the other cats at the shelter, Mr. Meowgi gained the confidence he needed to accept human love. Now he seeks out attention and pets from volunteers and visitors alike!

Mr. Meowgi is silly and energetic boy-he loves romping around with the other cats in his room and even uses the shelter’s running wheel! He is also full of love-while he is not yet a lap cat, he enjoys interacting and receiving pets from volunteers. He is one of the first in his room to greet you. Most of all, Mr. Meowgi loves other cats-he can be found grooming and cuddling with other cats in the most ridiculous and adorable positions. As a result, we do not think he should be an only cat.

It may take Mr. Meowgi a little time to adjust to a new home, but with patience we are confident he will thrive (and there are few things as satisfying as watching a cat blossom before your eyes). And if you are looking to add a playful companion for an existing cat in your household, Mr. Meowgi would be the perfect choice!

All of our cats/kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites. If you want to meet a specific kitty, please inquire with us before attending an adoption event, so we can make every effort to have the requested kitties available!

Adoption center is located at 7962 CLYDE PARK SW, BYRON CENTER MI 49315. Our shelter is open by appointment only. Applications must be submitted and approved before appointments will be set. Applications can be completed at http://www.focusonferals.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Our adoption fee is Kittens through 6 months $125 or 2 for $200; Kitties over 6 months $100 or 2 for $150. Come on out and meet the love of your life!
