My name is Eddie (Ed) and I am a male double yellow Amazon. I was hatched in the 1980’s – exact age unknown. I am a little bit overweight so I can’t have too many treats. No other history of illness. I was tame when I was young and would need time and patience, but I do love it when someone talks to me and gives me attention. I like these songs, Twinkle, twinkle little star, Heigh Ho it’s off to work I go, and Brown girl in the ring by Boney M. So I am a Disney fan. I need a low fat diet but I like dried papaya and noodles. $350 adoption fee

Our birds are not available for breeding and we do not ship birds, so you must travel to our south Kansas City area facility. Potential adopters must email us at BurgeBirdRescue@yahoo.com for an appointment, fill out an adoption application, and pass a screening interview to ensure that our birds are going to a safe home. There is usually a 48 hour waiting period after your interview before you are allowed to adopt because we want people to take time and think through their decision. All birds come with a 30 day health guarantee and return policy, and have been examined and tested by our avian veterinarian.
