My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our Village Cats need you.
Please fill out our application below under Fur Babies Rescue. Once you are approved we will set a day & time for you to meet our awesome group of cats. We have a special group of cats that are together at a site near Hickory, NC. Please consider these sweet and super friendly cats. These cats get along well with other cats. They have not been exposed to dogs. They have been outdoors but would likely adapt very well to living inside in the safety of your home. Most are of these cats are spayed/neutered/vaccinated. We are in the process of updating vaccines for the ones in need of updates.

They need you and can’t wait to meet their wonderful new person.

Our Recommendation for your new cat:

Advantage Multi topical treats much more than fleas. Please only use prescription topical parasite medications.

Ask your Veterinarian do a fecal test at their first visit after your adoption. To make it easier on your new cat we recommend taking a fresh fecal sample from your litter box sealed in a plastic bag with your cats name on the bag.

Continue the distemper series with your Veterinarian or at the wellness clinic at Humane Society Catawba County. Each cat/kitten will receive spay/neuter & rabies vaccination from Humane Society Catawba County. Most of our cats have had their first distemper vaccine and you will need to continue the series with a Veterinarian. If you adopt before their spay/neuter appointment you will be required to take them to their prepaid appointment.

We use the following for our veterinary care: Animal Hospital North and Humane Society Catawba County. Cats may live 20+ years so be prepared for a long life with them and please have an advanced plan for them in the event you can no longer care for them. We do not hold kittens. Please pay for your kitten within 24 hours of approval by PayPal. We are in Hickory, NC but we can transport your new pet by an animal transport company for an additional fee. Fee is determined by your location and your state's medical paperwork requirement for transport. Budget a range of $150-$180 for ground transport. Kitten pairs can share a crate for transport. Transport fees are not refundable so please be certain before you finalize. If you would like additional veterinary services for your new pet before pick up we will be happy to take your new pet to Animal Hospital North in Hickory, NC for any services that you arrange with them. You would pay Animal Hospital North directly for these additional services and there will be a $40 trip charge paid to Fur Babies Rescue.

Adopt these babies and help Fur Babies Rescue in the quest to save as many kittens & cats as possible. Your adoption fee helps offset the cost of caring for these babies and keeping them healthy until they come home to you. Not quite ready to adopt? That's ok, we will be here when you are ready. Your donations will help us help the cats & kittens in need.
