My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annabella is an adorable 25 pound, Shih Tzu/ Terrier mix girl. She is 9 years old. Annabella is being fostered in Dunedin, Florida.

Updated Bio 12/13/21 - Annabella received some great news today! She is Heartworm negative and her general overall health seems to be quite good. Considering she hadn't been to the vet in several years, we are very happy to receive a good report. The only thing left to do is get her teeth cleaned and she will be ready for her Furever home!

Foster Mom says she is adjusting nicely. While she has been very anxious upon arrival in her current home, after a few days she settled down, and follows mom everywhere, and wants to be near her to snuggle and be petted.

She is a little shy when she first meets strangers but warms up as soon as you scratch her ears or rub her belly and show her that you want to be friends. Annabella walks well on the leash, sleeps through the night, eats well, and is a very well-behaved and polite little girl.

The pee-pee pad is left out for her convenience, but she rarely uses it and has become accustomed to doing her business in the yard or while on her walks.

Annabella is used to living with another dog, but won't tend to play with another dog. She has also grown up with young children and is used to having a cat around as well. She likes companionship, so someone who is at home most of the time would be ideal, so she can have the love and attention that she deserves!
