A face full of scars and a heart of gold. Cocoon melts into us any chance he gets. When we approached his kennel he was sound asleep curled up in a tiny ball. As he woke up and saw us, his face filled with hope. He’s a bobble head and vastly under weight. Cocoon allowed easy leashing and seemed timid passing the other kennels. He trots when he walks and doesn’t pull on bit on leash. Cocoon is very skinny but wasn’t obsessed with consuming all the treats. Yes he took them if offered, sometimes eagerly, and sat on command for them.
But as soon as we squatted down, Cocoon came over as close as he could get and laid his head on our chest. He looked up from time to time to make eye contact, the type that makes cold hearts warm. Otherwise he just let us comfort him with pets and hugs. If we could swaddle him we would. Cocoon was adorable every minute we spent with him. When it was time to go inside, Cocoon went right back to his nap position.
