Lazarus is so excited to have a friend save him from his kennel sometimes he tries to leave without his leash. He’s ready to go and can be energetic at first walking on the leash. We don’t blame him for wanting to enjoy every minute outside since they are so few and not even daily anymore. Lazarus can run around the yard playing with toys and self entertaining if necessary. He is also very receptive to engaging with us.
As soon as he hears us call him, he speeds over. Lazarus comes like a rocket. You’d think by his energy level he would bulldoze but his brakes are good. Besides the occasional jump for attention, Lazarus is very soft. He sits on command, takes treats gently, and allows handling all over. He’s very attentive and gives solid eye contact. Smart and happy to have some attention, the shelter is no place for Lazarus.
