My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella, a precious 12 year old little Yorkie girl who is being fostered in Madison, WI. Bella must be adopted within a 100 mile radius.

Update - 12/20/21 – Bella got through her dental very well although she did lose 19 teeth. She will be on antibiotics and pain meds for about a week so she will not be available for adoption until after the holidays. Bella had some dry skin issues when she arrived which a change of diet has helped improve quite a bit. I would ask that any adopter be willing to follow this diet to make sure these issues don't return.

Bella gets along well with our small dog but is hesitant around my neighbor’s large dog. If he wants to sniff her she does try to pull away but is fine once we starting walking together. We have no idea how she does with cats.

As mentioned before, she is coming out of her shy shell and is showing more signs of playfulness. She does like a quiet home but appears to like a little activity with walking and interaction with her person.12/11/21 - Bella is scheduled for a dental procedure on December 14th. Her skin issues seem to be improving with a change of diet. Her foster mom says she coming out of her shell and has opened up and has become more playful.

Bella's foster mom has determined that Bella does not like to travel long distances, and seems anxious in a crate.

Initial Bio - 11/22/21 Bella arrived to her foster home on 11/20/21 as an owner surrender. Bella's family actually rescued her two years ago from a neighbor that was not taking good care of her and letting her roam the neighborhood. They got her a long overdue groom and vet check and intended to find her a good home. Fast forward two years and they had to make the choice to surrender her to a rescue for help in finding that new home. Bella had her initial vet checkup today and all looks good. She does have some dry skin issues that her foster mom is going to work on but overall she is in terrific health. Bella is quite a laid back gal that would be perfect in a mature home where life is quiet.
