My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Periwinkle, Perry for short - although it doesn’t matter what you call me because I’m deaf and can’t hear you anyway! I will always come running to you for treats, even if I don’t hear you calling me.

I LOVE being petted and I will come to you to get my head, ears, nose, and cheeks stroked. I even like you petting my back. I do not like being picked up, but if you get on the ground with me, I will nosebutt you and snuggle up beside you. I love to run and jump, and to sit up high, but I return to my cage to nap or eat or use the litter box.

I am a great interior decorator - it doesn’t matter how heavy things are, if I want my food bowl or litter box in a different place, I will make it happen. I am very independent and will amuse myself all day if my humans go to work, but I will be happy to be petted and fed and entertained when they return! I totally ignore cats - they are not worthy of my attention, so I just touch noses with them, then move on. I don’t think I have ever met a dog, but I’m sure they are equally uninteresting.

By the way, I really like the color green when it comes to eating. Hay is best, but I will walk on my hind legs for parsley or lettuce or carrot tops. I also love bananas and carrots (oh but they aren’t green, are they?) and treats of all kinds as long as you feed them to me.
