Dog Whisper Needed! I’m Delilah, a year old Labrador mix found as a stray. I am a beautiful girl, but scared of everyone. I have been at the shelter for a couple of months, and I’m still very unsure about people. I run away from everyone. I really need someone that has an ability to reach dogs like me and is willing to put in the time to let me trust you. I’m very hopeful to have a great life one day when that special person finds and works with me. If you are that person, please fill out the application and let’s start a rewarding relationship together. I will love you forever!

My adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes my sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $15.00. We have a dog park to try out possible siblings before taking me home. We have an adoption contract and adoption fees. The fee for a dog is $100.00 and a cat is $60.00. The fee includes mandatory spay or neuter and vaccinations.
If calling about an animal you may have to leave a message. Your call will be answered as soon as possible.

Our shelter is located at 49 Shelter Lane in Heber Springs, Arkansas. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

More about this shelter

Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
