My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walter is a white pigeon who was probably released at a wedding or funeral and did not know how to get home.  We do not know how old or if Walter is a male or female. Walter was treated for a fractured radius/ulna in the wing. Walter's injury has healed, but Walter may not be able to fly. Walter does well alone. The adoption fee is $10.

Our birds are not available for breeding and we do not ship birds, so you must travel to our south Kansas City area facility. Potential adopters must email us at BurgeBirdRescue@yahoo.com or call 816-356-4700 for an appointment, fill out an adoption application, and pass a screening interview to ensure that our birds are going to a safe home. There is usually a 48 hour waiting period after your interview before you are allowed to adopt because we want people to take time and think thru their decision.   All birds come with a 30 day health guarantee and return policy, and have been examined and tested by our avian veterinarian.
